	35 years ago, Dick Randall (crane operator) and his wife Marge started a small steel erection business from their home. Two years later, their son Tony Randall (ironworker) joined the business. Their objective was to provide more than just steel erection services to area customers, they wanted to provide full fabrication services as well. After a short 5 years in business, their steel erection services grew and expanded substantially. They purchased their own building which would accommodate their steel fabrication services. Traditionally, steel erectors and fabricators were distinct businesses. Today, the company is conducting business under the leadership of Tony Randall, President of Ramar Steel Inc., and has over 40,000 square feet of facilities dedicated to administration, fabrication and field equipment. Ramar employs over 45 full time employees and is changing the Rochester and upstate New York's skyline with new steel structures every year.
