Painter / Loader / Material Handler

Summary

We’re searching for a skilled Painter/Loader/Material handler to join the fabrication team in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Priming
  • Heavy material handler with the use of overhead cranes and rigging.
  • Loading materials

Ideal applicants will be motivated, self-starters, pay strong attention to details and work safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and paint structural steel
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Perform rigging work to move materials as requires
  • Load and unload steel from trucks
  • Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop

Required Skills

  • Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint
  • Must have experience with overhead crane
  • Experience using and operating a forklift is required
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
  • Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
  • Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

We are willing to train the right individual, but experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting at $22 – 25/hr. Positions are full time Monday – Friday. 1st and 2nd shift available. 2nd Shift comes with shift differential pay rate.
